Explore the history, impact, and legacy of Indian Residential Boarding Schools in the United States and its Florida roots. This workshop will look at the experiences of Native American and Indigenous communities within the context of the residential boarding schools, examining their cultural, social, and psychological ramifications. Listen to their voices. This workshop aims to promote awareness and empathy and correlates to American History standards as well as Native American History Month.
